Yukon River Comprehensive Salmon Plan

Salmon enhancement (or restoration) in the state of Alaska is guided by a variety of laws and regulations and administered through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G). In Alaska, to culture salmon eggs/fry for enhancement or restoration purposes, a permit is needed from the Commissioner of ADF&G. Regional Planning Teams (RPT), composed of stakeholders and representatives from ADF&G, are tasked with the development of a regional Comprehensive Salmon Plans (CSP). As part of the permitting process, salmon harvest and enhancement/restoration input are gathered from stakeholders in the affected region(s). The CSP is intended to guide and inform the Commissioner of the granting or denial of enhancement/restoration permit requests.

The Yukon River Regional Planning Team is seeking public comments on the DRAFT Yukon River Comprehensive Salmon Plan.
